The Northern Lakes Fire Protection District staffs two stations with 24/7 personnel. Each of these stations house two primary response vehicles, as well as specialty response apparatus. Each fire engine is manned by a minimum of two personnel and each one of our ambulances is equipped to provide advanced life support services. Our fire engines are equipped ALS when qualified personnel are available. Below you’ll see pictures of our stations. The mission of the Northern Lakes Fire Protection District is to provide a high level of proficient and competent service to the citizens and guests within our boundaries. The citizens, visitors and business population of the District have a department that is prepared to fulfill its task of preserving life and protecting property.

The District’s Board of Fire Commissioners are elected to four-year terms, representing the five sub-districts within our boundaries. As the governing body of the fire district, the board manages and conducts the business and affairs of the District. Public meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month at 10:00 a.m. at Fire Station 1 located at 125 W. Hayden Ave. in Hayden, Idaho, unless indicated otherwise below.

Fire Danger is at Moderate
IDL has extended out the closed burning past October 10th which means burn permits are still required.
Currently the only allowable burning is burn barrels and residential yard waste piles 5X5 with permits.
Recreational fires are open but do not require a permit.
